seems like I am constantly channel surfing hoping that they will eventually have something on worth watching-they hardly ever do ,so I end up naping the day away while thinking- tomorrow I have to go to work- and of course that bums me out,got to love sundays That's the bad thing about Sundays... when you have to do something that you don't like on Monday.. you can't enjoy Sunday... that'w why I love when we have a holiday on mondays! I go to church, and in between morning and evening services I usually play guitar. yeah, it a cool day to play guitar too.. -------------------- My lessons

On Sundays I usually go to church in the mornings, and then come home and play guitar, mostly stuff related to theory. After that I usually take a nap and rest up for monday morning!

Sometimes it's social/family time sometimes I have to work.
This Sunday it was social as we had some friends visit from the UK. Did end up talking about work a lot though as he's a senior engineer/producer for BBC Radio 4. Lots of discussion about real time non-destructive audio editing, how LP HP EQ filters alter waveshapes and that sort of thing. -------------------- Get your music professionally mastered by anl AES registered Mastering Engineer. Sundays, hmmm, I sometimes have video recording sessions for all the GMC stuff and usually family lunch with my mom and dad otherwise, dunno..I'm the kind of guy that doesn't take Sundays too seriously - that means I can work on Sundays if I have stuff to do yeah, something similar happens to me.. If I have work to do, I do it... but I try to avoid setting private lessons or studio recordings with clients on Sundays. Sometimes it's social/family time sometimes I have to work. This Sunday it was social as we had some friends visit from the UK. Did end up talking about work a lot though as he's a senior engineer/producer for BBC Radio 4. ... Amazing discussion! I'd like to know the conclusions! Main conclusions were: 1/Non destructive real time editing is great in sadie and pyra, and to a great extent helps justify the price of both. To a great extent both progs are a bit bloated - too much unnecessary bells and whistles, like the inclusion of Ozone in sadie - just silly to include that in a pro end daw that costs over 7000 Euros and which is aimed at the pro market where any of likely to use the daw will already have hardware/software significantly better. Would be nice to see realtime filter down to Audition but not likely to happen. Adobe also need to get rid of a lot of the bloat and go back to the 2 track of Cool Edit rather than the multi-track it's got now. So there's a huge hole in the pro end market betwen Audiiton at the low price end and sadie/pyra at the top end. Some discussion of why both of us dislike PT. 2/ Waveform shapes do alter when you use a LP (and even MP) HPF. If you aren't careful this can result in unintended signal gain which may sound counter-intuitive when you're filtering here to attenutate the signal. All the more reason to keep levels down below digital zero. Also talked about how waveforms are not accurately replicated in Ozone when you upsample - seems to be a coding error as neither of us have sen it whne upsampling using other programs or hardware. 3/ Lots of discussion about mixing issues/mistakes - particularly due to poor monitoring. Also how digital has resulted in new engineers who have little experience in gain staging and balancing equpiment and who don't really seem to understand the background to audio editing. Some chat about how much easier it was to cue tape and how track markers etc don't compare. -------------------- Get your music professionally mastered by anl AES registered Mastering Engineer.
