What To Do When You Cant Get A Band..., go solo? |
the cons are that i dont have to rely on people to come to practice and no problems with people quitting. Atleast im thinking of going solo just for starters and play everything i know on electric guitar and singing, maybe make a demo or something, play a couple of gigs and then see if i can get any to play with me(you know what i mean... |

If you really want a band, you are the most important person to move it forward. This can mean going solo or not. Bands always have kind of a core, that keeps the band together. That is made of motivated people who knows a thing or two about music.
I was actually thinking like "ok, I sing something between like bad and ok but I will try to do all myself" when suddenly I met more people: a experienced keyboard player, a real good bassist and in special this amazing singer that is playing with me. Sometimes, when you stop looking for something it comes to you. You just have to keep your own serious work on that  If you are on island, it's probably more easy to start only you, on guitar and voice. But don't lose your hopes

Be patient mate, you are still young and don't need to worry yourself if you can't find a band now. The band will come, just stay focused on the guitar, one day somebody will ask you to join the band or you will form your own. Sometimes you just can't do it intentionally, just wait until it happens, and believe it will.

So you're both waiting for a reaction while I think probably you have to be the engine. Come up with a concrete proposal and be prepared if or when someone shows up for the band practice session.If you know a song by heart you can lead the others through it, pick an easy one for starters. Hmm maybe if you want to go with one man band thing you can make your own songs backing tracks or covers and play alongside them live...That way you will have the bass , drums keyboards - everything you need...
