GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Multi Mini Lesson Request

Posted by: jacmoe Jun 23 2008, 04:36 PM

Hi GMC instructors! laugh.gif

I think the lessons you make are awesome! biggrin.gif

I really like the way you make a song out of each and every one.

However.. smile.gif

I miss what I call Multi Mini Lessons! wink.gif

You know, like:

Like clinics.

You could say like the 101 lessons, but without the talking. laugh.gif

Am I making any sense?

I don't really understand that concept. Can you please elaborate a little?

Posted by: jacmoe Jun 23 2008, 05:30 PM

I mean. Instead of turning the whole lesson into a song, make it a theme.
Like 10 blues turnarounds you really oughta know or 10 speed runs for flashy metal playing laugh.gif

do you mean something like this from Ivan, but for different styles?

Exactly! laugh.gif

Well, but you know that all licks and riffs, runs etc. aren't fettered to one lesson or song...I mean you can take them transpose them, phrase them differently and so on...

Yeah. I know. That's (one of the ways) how I use them, too. wink.gif

Ok, I see you use them also like I do and you don't seem to be a complete beginner. laugh.gif It is just- in fact that I didn t know if you were or not, this little piece of information could mean the world to a complete beginner... laugh.gif ....because I remember that I wasn't aware of that when I started out...

No worries! laugh.gif

What I really mean is, that I like lessons like Ivans above, where it's about a topic. In this case: Blues Grooves.

I am a lazy bugger, and want it all in one place!
Instead of digging it out of 10 different song lessons. tongue.gif

I am not complaining, though. The lessons are wonderful! laugh.gif

Yes, to create a lick library is really a great idea as Ivan did...and it is called lick library "1". Ivan is our series man anyway.... biggrin.gif ..love his lessons
