OK so, I am so tired of all these death metal bands where every song is "we don't like God OOOH! IM METAL!" "Church kills babies, Killin babies!!"

Now, I'm not trying to sound like a preacher or something. I just don't wanna listen to music that constantly bashes my beliefs but I really like bands like Necrophagist and Cannibal Corpse. So If anyone can give me some suggestions for Death Metal (of any kind, Melodeath, Brutal, Technical, Groove etc etc...) that doesn't always bash religion in their lyrics it'd be nice.

two best death metal albums I have ever heard are:

Death - Spiritual Healing
Napalm Death - Harmony Corruption

this first one was huge inspiration in guitar playing. Great riffs and solos

I dunno man, there are no Christian death metal bands that I know of... generally QUITE the opposite. You should listen to the riffs of the death metal bands, and just make your own songs with your type of lyrics? who knows you might be able to carve out a new metal niche...

It's not that I'm looking for Christian death metal, I mean I have nothing against it, just stuff that doesn't bash it.

I mean Cannibal Corpse dude XD

I like tonnes of death metal to be honest but don't know what stuff fully you want. If you give us a few bands. Try this maybe

Well what I'm looking for I guess is anything from Death to Necrophagist to Cannibal Corpse just stuff that doesn't attack religion, as I mentioned earlier.

Torture Division is the worlds best Death Metal band. They release demos's for free, and they are, as I said, the best death metal band in the world.

http://www.torturedivision.net/downloadgraphy

You can download their songs there, they have only made two demos, but a third one is on the way. The whole idea with torture division is to release demos for free.

And since they have Jörgen Sandström on vocals, they are the best death metal band in the world

I'm sure you've heard of them, but Insomnium has some pretty cool stuff. I like that they're more melodic and dynamic than a lot of the other bands...but I'm not a huge Death Metal fan.

Oh yeah dude, Amon Amarth kills! One of the greatest moments of my metal head life was meeting Fredrick after their show in Atlanta and getting a poster signed by the whole band.

But thanks everyone, If I would have posted something like this anywhere but GMC I'd have been bombarded XD

Try Atheist. Piece of Time is a very good album. One of the early Tech Death acts.

Cynic is another good example of early Tech Death with some hints of jazz.

The Monolith Deathcult

Quo Vadis

Septic Flesh

Nocturnus

One of the best British Death Metal acts Bolt Thrower

Mexico's great legendary act The Chasm

Tech Death masters Gorguts

Hail Of Bullets

Origin

Pestilence

Arghoslent

Decrepit Birth

Berzerker (death/grind)

ehh thats all I have at the moment. Can't think anymore >_<

Here is some recommandation on cool metalband that Ive mostly discovered over Myspace. Some of these are pure Death-metal, and some are more melo. Btw if you like Cannibal Corpse check Bloodbath and if you like Necrophagist check out Spawn of Possession. I think we have about the same taste in metal so hear through some of this and write what you think. Btw if you have some band that are not that famous you want to recommend so go ahead wink.gif.
