does anyone know what type of stuff i need to use to refinish the fretboard?
i have no idea (ive been told polyurethane based gloss but the DIY store doesnt have any).
any suggestions would be great.

Lemon juice. Apply a couple of times, let it dry after the first time and then repeat it once more.
You can buy expensive bottles if you like but you'll see on the ingredients of some that they include just that, lemon extract (or something).
I use paraffine oil, don't know if that is an accepted fact whether it's good but it works for me. The Lemon juice deal is known and accepted.

so ive got to use REAL lemon juice not the extract? if so i have some lemons in the fridge
ive also got dunlop 65 lemon oil but i thought that was just used to clean the frets no finish them :S
