hey guys!

I'm in the market for an extension cab for my boogoe mark five, ideally a 2x12 so I can still use the combo speaker. It comes as standard with a C90 speaker which is very crisp and quite dark, I can get a 1x12 C90 extension cab from mesa but im intrigued as to what I can get mixing speaker types.
Any suggestions? The obvious ones are the V30 loaded cabs but if theres anymore you think would be suitable for modern/classic rock and blues then lets hear 'em! Maybe even two types of speaker in one cab! Just bear in mind it needs a minimum of 100 watts power handling at 8 ohms.

cheers! smile.gif

You could try some celestion greenbacks too.

I'm joining in here because I wanted to ask a similar question. I'm thinking of buying an amp head and 2x12 cab in the future. Celestion Vintage 30 seems the obvious choice for hard rock/metal, but I was thinking maybe of mixing one CV30 with an Eminence Patriot Swamp Thang (for extra low end). Are such combinations possible at all? Are there good (online or else) dealers that offer customized 2x12 cabs?

And on another note: what makes a good extension cab, apart from the speakers? For example, why would a 300 $ Framus 2x12 with CV30s be much worse than an 800 $ Rivera 2x12 with the same speakers?

anyway Sted, i'm interested in your next buy so keep us posted!
