GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Forum Software Upgrade!

Hey there!
Finally we have upgraded the forum - which means there are a whole bunch of more or less useful new things! 
We had bugs all over the site for a while - but hopefully things are sorted now..!
So what new features have you found?
Some of the new things are
* New Personal Profile
* Buddy lists
* New Rich-text Editor
...and hopefully just an over-all better performance (once we have got rid of eventual bugs following the installation, that is).
Also - we hope we will soon present a new forum look with a red color scheme.
Let me know if you find something else that's new and that looks cool!

PS - also I hope we haven't lost any of the old cool features. I am currently trying to find the option to enlarge the text field were you type the posts....

Funny thing actualy. After yesterday when I spent some time browsin these forums and looking in members profiles, I have thought, that this forum should really get an update just like this. I log in today and BAM - my wish is granted.

Couple things I noticed: quick edit doesn't work (at least for me using latest firefox 2.0.0.11), and what does the spoiler acronyms insertions do?
I'm going to use this thread to test them.

I guess we are going to have to host all of our pictures/music for collabs now? No more download to server option unless I cant find it. Kind of a pain.

By the way I just noticed the top menu with "members" and "search" etc is gone!

I saw that you can manage your attachments in your profile, but no where to upload there just to delete them. I don't see any on the reply post editor. I saw that the search box was missing, there is a search page if you use the jumpdown box at the bottom.

Like the small icon next to the member's name that shows if they're online or offline. Also the new user profile page is great. Keep up the good work guys.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the forum, and cclick the scroll-down menu to the right of "RSS". Choose the skin "Red Skin".
This is what we will use as a default skin until we get a professional design of the forum.
What do you think? Is this acceptable for a transition period?

Ok so we couldn't wait and made the new skin default for everyobdy - I hope Henrik won't kill us when he finds out tomorrow morning!

looking good! haven't run into any problems yet, apart from I always seem to end up logged out and always have to log it again. Not sure if that's an issue with me or the forum....looks great, tho!

If you still haven't found it you can access it in the forum jump section at the bottom of the page. Click and scroll up to Search.
I really like the new layout and features.

We will get the search feature back and restore the top menu - we are waiting for two new features which will go into that menu - hopefully by the next week we will have it!

Aaaah, thanks guys. I thought I was staring myself blind looking for it. I do that sometimes, kinda like "don't see the forrest for all the trees".
