Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

You did a very good job on this one! All notes are correct and timing was pretty good! I think you can practice it a little more to get into the groove more because it sounds a little shaky, but a few days of practicing will make it perfect!

Sehr gut, Christian ! Aber ein tipp - try not to slide the chord shapes before they are meant to be played, like at 0:29. Try to resist the temptation to move your next chord shape into position to 'get it ready', ok ? If you can nail little elements like that you'll be doing great !

Another thing is on the main riff. Try to play it like Alex does.. instead of picking every note, you pick the open and then the G, but then it's a pull off back to the open E again. So you can make those first two picks really heavy and full of attitude smile.gif

All in all it's a really strong take, you've come a long way just in the short time I've been at GMC. Gut gemacht !

The take is good. You need to practice it a bit more to feel more comfortable with some chord shapes and also to make the overall lesson sound with more groove. Once again, your tone is really good! smile.gif

Hey Christian! The German dude needs to groove man biggrin.gif as Ben and Gabe said, you need to practice a bit more and while at it, pay attention on the details the guys have pointed out wink.gif

Well done again smile.gif I see what the guys are saying about putting some groove in though. It may sound a bit nebulous, but one way to think about it is in terms of push/pull, tension/release. You can build tension/push in several ways but one of the easiest is to take advantage of the natural progression of a given tune. For example, in this tune when you are using Ascending chords, you are building tension. If you wait to make a given chord change till the very last section, and then make it quickly, leaving little gap between new and previous chord, you build tension smile.gif

Once it's built up, you are working towards pull/release. Heading toward and landing on the resolving tone/root, is a good spot to release tension. As you head towards the resolution note/chord, leave a bit more gap in between chords (creates an almost breathing vibe) and reduce the pick attack and use more hammer/pull and more space between individual strikes.

Once you get this down, it will add another dimension to your already spiff playing smile.gif
