Hello PosterBoy!
I am so happy that you have decided to join my program!
A few questions before we will start!
-What are your goals?
-What is your weakness?
-What is your strongest point?
-Your favorite guitar players?
I am looking forward to start working with you!
You have also mentioned that Jazz/Fusion isn't your thing so that means you would like to do a different style or actually interested in giving them a try?

My Goals with you will be to get a really good knowledge of harmony and applying it to interesting compositions, mainly looking at the chord side of things but things like how chord choices can change the feel of a melody line.

Whilst I say I don't like Jazz I do like Ted Greene's chord melody, I think it's facinating to watch and listen to.

I would like to use what I learn in music that wouldn't be seen as strictly Jazz or fusion, I'm more of a fan of Rock, Punk and Folk, but if it's needed to help achieve my goal I'll head that way. I do love some of the Jazzy gospel stuff I've come across and soul stuff.

Weaknesses are technique and speed, maybe phrasing

Strengths

Fingerpicking
Pretty good ear training
Melodic sense

Players I like are (tough question this)

Andy Timmons
Paul Gilbert
Ludovico Einaudi (pianist/Composer)
Tom Bukovac
Phil X
Pete Thorn
Paul Jackson Jr

Awesome! I am glad to have you on board!
To start I would like you to work on your hands coordination and technique!
Usually right hand is fine and the left hand is the trouble one!
I have a perfect exercise that will do the trick!

Just getting the piece flowing, should have a take for you in the next couple days.

The 8th notes to triplets is the hardest bit, I keep questioning my timing even when I'm on the beat.

Again it's the transition to triplets that is making me stumble. But I'm getting there

oh and let's add Nuno and Richie Kotzen to my list of favourite players (how did I miss them out!!)

If you can replay it using a click would be great! This way it will be easier to line up everything and make drums and bass sound in the "pocket"
