Hey Alex Feather,

First of all, thanks for taking the time to mentor me. I'm really glad for this opportunity.

Regarding your questions:

What are my goals:
Learn to play some songs, play with other people, do a collab on gmc, learn a little bit more of music theory. I guess the normal stuff.

What are my weakness and strongest point:
Well that's a hard question to answer. It's being pointed out that I can't bend to notes...so I guess that's a weakness. I don't know, I guess I'll find out.

What are my favorite guitar players:
Anyone that could make me feel any kind of emotion. I guess, I like almost all the guitar players that I've ever heard.

Sorry Alex. I had just re-read what I posted and it doesn't give many clues.

I'm just a beginner trying to learn a new skill. How about something simple to work on? Any good simple guitar lesson to work on?

Ohh...check my signature...I'm working on a Practice Agenda....maybe you have some kind of input.

Thanks for taking the time to answer and I hope you have an awesome day.

Awesome!!! I am glad you have joined!!!
Actually my mentoring should work perfect for you because we will be jamming a lot! smile.gif I will be recording my takes and we will be going back and forth! smile.gif
So for your first assignment I have a very nice exercise! It will help you with your timing and will develop your technique and get your hands synced!
The trick is to practice it very very slow using a metronome, you playing one note per click! For example set it to 80 BPM I wouldn't suggest to go over 100 BPM! You will see a huge progress in a few weeks!

Hello Alex,

Sorry for yesterday.

Here's is what I see now.

This is correct but make sure that you are keeping the previous # and b say for example
D major = F# C# and so on!

Now let's make sure you got it right!
How many # in B major
How many b in Eb major

Yeah, I just need to write that order of sharps and flats, one hundred times each, and I will be set!

Thanks Alex

How to apply the circle of fifths?

What do you mean? Knowing circle of fifth will help you to understand what scales to use over different chord progression plus it will help you in composition
Let's say you are writing a song and it is in F major you will know that it has one flat (Bb) And you will know what chords and scales to use
Let me know if it makes sense smile.gif
