Hi!! I am glad you have decided to join
I have a few questions before we will start:

- What recording software do you use? (if any)
- What type of DAW do you have? (if any)
- What are your favorite styles?
- What would you like to learn?* (Record your own music, make backing tracks, record guitar, mix, master, arrange?)
* We will cover all topics but I would like to see what your priorities are!

Theory questions (will help me to get a better idea where to start! )

- Harmonize G major scale
- Build A7 chord
- Write ii - V - I chord progression starting with Cmi7
- D mi7 - Bb - Gmi - F What key this chord progression in?

Looking forward to start working with you!

Perfect! One more thing I would like to know what kind of computer do you have?
Is it mac or pc? Also if you are looking to create a high quality tracks you need to switch to a more professional program
I would suggest Logic cause it is easier to work with midi and you will have unlimited amount of tracks
You DAW is perfect for it!
Let me know if you are interested in switching if not you can stay with reaper and I will help you to set it up as well! smile.gif

Wow you got some very nice software! I like pro tools a lot!
Composition is a very fun part and I am very excited to work on it!
Each song has a structure that you need to decide on before you will do anything
Here is abbreviation that is used for it to make it easier to understand
Verse = A
Chorus = B
Bridge = C
Solo = Solo and a part you would like it to be played over
for example if you would like to have a solo over the verse do that - Solo A
I would like you to create a structure first and
also let's decide on the tempo is it gonna be a ballad or upbeat song?
Let me know if you have any questions or need help with anything!

Looks good! smile.gif
Let's start with drums! I would like you to get a drum track going
I think 100BPM should be good! What do you think?

Cool! So A minor it is! smile.gif
Let's harmonize A dorian scale first:
Ami - Bmi - C - D - Emi - F#dim - G
So you can use any of those chords for your song and they will work in any combination! smile.gif
Try some out and let me know which ones you like!
