Merry Xmas GMCers,

went and brought myself an ibanez turbo tube screamer TS9DX, and it sounds amazing -especially for the offspring!

Does anyone else have similar? If so what settings do you use?

Zilla

I have a tubescreamer clone by MXR, a custom shop Overdrive.

I use it in front of my Marshall as a little boost on the high gain channel, not to increase the Gain/volume but to tighten things up a little and make the low end clearer. Works great for that!

Settings for boost:

Tone: Half
Gain: Zero
Output: Max, or near maximum (depends on the gain on the amp)

Congrats! I use the emulation of it on my pod. Without it the dist is not as tight.

Congratulations mate, may it serve you well. Couple it with a loud tube amp and you will get a nice tone.

I'm using a spider 3 at the moment which isn't to bad on the clean channel, but Ive tried it on my mates tube amp and it sounds awesome! A tube amp is defo going to be my next purchase..... Any recommendation taking into account I live in a ground floor appartment?
