GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Bath Guitar Festival

Just wondering if anyone is going to the Bath guitar festival in August?

Guthrie Govan is doing a workshop and gig there so I would LOVE to go to that, thinking of doing the rock and beyond level 5 (grade 8+) but just a little aprehensive about the cost (£674 with the accomodation) - anyone else been before and is it worth the money?

I haven't been to the Bath one but I have been to a couple of Blues Weekends. They were great fun and you get to meet some brilliant people and also learn from some superb teachers. I did one with Neville Martin and have to say it was well worth the money. It was cheaper than the Bath one though, that's the only thing that's stopped me doing the Bath Festival!!

Well, it's a bit pricey but I guess it's worth it if you can afford it. It will definitely be a valuable experience! smile.gif

cheers smile.gif My mate went last year and said it influenced his playing since then a great deal... they give you a booklet with all the topics covered in the course, and at the end you do a gig to the public with the stuff you have learned so that will be a good experience because I havnt done much in that area apart from formal examinations!
