Just for fun, if you could put together a dream band with one guitar, bass, drums and vocals who would it be? I will start with this:

Guitar - Al DiMeola
Bass - Victor Wooten
Drums - Neal Peart
Vocals - Chris Cornell

Well i cant do one if each, so you could just pick one from each category, but this is a list of everyone in the band

Guitarists:
Dave Murray - Lead & Rhythm
Muhammad Suicmez - Lead & Rhythm
Steve Vai - Lead & Rhythm
Me - Lead & Rhythm

Bass
Billy Sheehan - Lead & Rhythm
Steve Harris - Lead & Rythm
John Myung - Lead & Rhythm

Drums(Either one):
Thomen Stauch
Jukka Nevalainen
Jason Bittner

Vocals:
Bruce Dickinson
Judas Priest
Cam Pipes
Tim Ownens
Mikael Akerfeldt
Muhammad Sucimez

It would be the most Epic album ever, every singer having his own part to sing, like Avantasia's Metal Opera, 3 Guitarists and Bassists all who would be Doing Solo's at one point or another, and a collection of the best Vocals from Clean to Growls.

It's very difficult!!!

I think this could be an amazing band:

Maynard James Keenan (Tool) - Vocals
Steve vai- Lead Guitar
Dave Navarro - Rhythm Guitar
Flea (RHCP) - Bass
Trent Reznor (NIN)- Keys, Synth & back vocals
Josh Freese (A perfect circle) - Drums

Guest musicians: Bjôrk, Pery Farrel (Jane's Addiction), Travis (Blink 182) & Slash.

In my opinion none of these band's could work good BECAUSE: all of them play different styles and they have their own bands which worked together for a long time. If you just put 5 great musicians who never played together they wouldn't be able to play as a REAL band (Steve Vai band, Dream Theater). Every member has to feel their band m8 so it's actually not that simple.

Just my opinion.

You're right of course but its fun to talk about - any of the bands proposed above would probably split due to artistic differences in about 3 seconds smile.gif

jaja.. it's true... I think that what Pavel is saying is ok but I agree to Andrew. We are only "dreaming" and it is funny. I said that my "dream band" is a band that could be amazing to be seen live.

It is fun, but we could make it even better. How about this instead - the most rediculous band you can think of (I can't help but think of all the TV/Movie actor musician wanna-be's):

Guitar: Corey Feldman
Vocals: David Hasslehoff
Bass: The dude from the Wiggles (only one I can think of - he might actually be decent but I have no idea)
Drums: Radar O'Riley from M*A*S*H

Special Guest: The kid on the banjo from Deliverance

Pretty damn close to being the ultimate band.

But I would have to go with this line up as the ultimate rock band ever

Vocals: Rob Halford (Judas Preist)
Bass: Geddy Lee (Rush)
Drums: Neil Peart (Rush)
Guitars: Randy Rhoads (Ozzy)

This is a tuff questions as way to many to choose from. But here goes:

Guitar: Tom Morello

Bass: Flea

Vocals: Serj Tankian

Drums: Dave Grohl

However for me it doesn't get much better than Led Zeppelin or The Who with a little Metallica thrown in for good measure. biggrin.gif
