Hi there, I am quite new at GMC and do not know how to start from zero.... I see many videos and lessons, but am completely lost. How can I stabilish an agenda with lessons I can follow and day to day see my progress ?

Hello

Try typing Beginner in search field while you're browsing the lessons(not here in forum).
There are many beginner lessons at GMC,
go for basic stuff like chords,strumming,some easier picking exercises etc.

Good luck and ask if you need more help.

Hi maguima,

Let me start off by saying welcome, and that you have certainly came to the right place to begin your journey.

I was a complete beginner whan I joined as well so I know where your coming from. I presonally started with Kris' Beginner Kickoff found http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/beginner-guitar/beginner-video-lessons1.htm It is a series of 6 exercises that takes you through the basic fundementals to get you going. Also there are some easy lesson links there as well. Andrew has also started a new series for the beginning guitarist starting http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/misc-lessons/first-steps-the-first-day/

Once you feel comfortable with these lessons, move on to some of the 101 lessons that suite your style.

As far as creating a practice agenda, you have to determine how much time you have to practice each day and then use that time wisely. Break it up into segments practicing the techniques that you want to learn first. Scales,Palm Muting and String Skipping were some that I first started with.

Good luck and ask all the questions that you need! Most everyone here will help you out in anyway they can!

Yeah Andrew series is a great start : http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/misc-lessons/first-steps-the-first-day/ (remember to check out the related lessons tab there).

Then I would go with the Beginner Kick Off Course http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/beginner-guitar/beginner-video-lessons1.htm

That should teach you all the basics, so you can go on to different GMC lessons later on!

Also,when you pick the lesson,If some thing is not clear a bout it,feel free to ask the instructor that made one.Open topics,and participate in collabs.Collabs are great exercise no matter how you play at the time.

Welcome to GMC man, you have several ways to start.

Community forum is the best way to start. You post your questions and problems and we will try to answer the best way we can.

You should check these things out:

2. http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/beginner-guitar/beginner-video-lessons1.htm made by Kris to help people who need some nice beginner lessons to start working with
3. http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?automodule=blog is a good place to check out how other people organize their practice sessions, so you can create some of your own. You can make your own practice agenda as well, there's a link to your practice agenda right next to your username up there on the page.
4. http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/search_results.php?formSearch= is a great way to start searching for lesson you like and need. There are advanced searhc options to the right so you can choose type of music and difficulty level.

In addition to that if you have any more questions feel free to ask on the forum. Also if you are finding something that you are struggling with feel free to post it on my board as well (there's a link for my board in my signature), and you will get a video response from me.

I myself have just started here at GMC (just under 2 weeks)

Too bad I can't get to youtube from here or I'd post a link to Kris' video on riffs to play when you suck.

I was a total beginner when I first started with GMC. Their beginner lessons are pretty good, the stuff already mentioned like the Power Chords lesson. I'm amazed at how much trouble I had with that lesson at the time.
