I know this is strictly a guitar site, but I think it would be beneficial to have some basic bass lessons to help improve backing tracks and song writing. Any thoughts?

If you want to get an idea of a backing track there is a really cool way to do it: simply take your favorite band, put on the headphones because than you can hear all instruments much better than on speakers, and concentrate on bass guitar. usually guitarists concentrate on guitar and singer! But this time concentrate on bass guitar and just follow bass guitar only. Than listen to same song for second time and listen only to drums. I did it a couple of times with some of my favorite bands and i really got to know their music much better! -------------------- "It isn't how many years you have been playing, it's how many hours." -- Prashant Aswani "PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!" -- Michael Angelo Batio Check out my video lessons and instructor board! |
