Hey there, I currently own a Line 6 POD XT Live and run it through an Atomic Reactor 112-50 (http://www.fractalaudio.com/products-at-reactor.html).

What I'm wondering is if I were to purchase a MXR M-108 10 Band EQ to put between the POD and the Atomic, if it would make a difference.

I don't have the option to try it out with my current setup so I was willing to just buy it, but I figured I'd ask around here first as I don't have much knowledge with EQ's.

Thanks!!

-Luc

First off, what kind of sound do you want to achieve with the EQ pedal?

Usually the reasons for using a EQ pedal are to maybe tighten up the sound a little bit by boosting some mids or using the pedal as a "boost" for soloing etc. So as such, the pedal wouldn't make a lot of difference just by being there, but if you want to cut or boost certain frequencies in your sound then it can be handy.

Yeah pretty much for that reason, I want to tighten it up, make it clearer and more defined.

EQ stomp is bought mainly because you wanna change the color of your sound quickly, without reaching to EQ the sound on the amp. If you need it for that, I guess it is good to get it. MXR 10 band EQ is a very decent EQ and it will work great for coloring the sound in any way you want.
