Greetings my friends - welcome to a new audio collab !!

It's time to go back to 1986 with a backing taken from my Kirk Hammett lesson. It brings to mind a certain classic Metallica song which is why I've titled it Master of Donuts

The tempo is 150bpm, the key is Eminor.

In terms of scales you can use E Minor, E Minor Pentatonic, E Dorian, E Phrygian Dominant.. hell, you could even use E Diminished ! The only chord in this backing track that is 'outside' the E Minor scale is the A# chord which gives you the dim5th sound !

So, unleash the beast with this collab.. I don't want no polite playing, I want pure destruction ! I want to be afraid to press play on each one of your takes because of the ferocity !!

Let's ROCK !!

Deadline is Thursday 30th August !

sorry for asking silly questions but do you have to sign up for a collab or just load up your take for the collab if you have on that is worth that other people should hear it?
do you need to record a video or is audio just fine?

This one is just an audio collab so yes, just audio is fine.. mp3 if you can manage it 'cause it's smaller and easier to upload here but if you want to send me wav files in a pm then that's all cool too

Just when i thought it couldn't get any better, you unleashed 'that riff' again.. I almost believed you too and was a little disappointed that it wouldn't feature.. but you saved the day !

What if you just change it up, go with something like Peter Gunn, Smoke on the Water, Ice Ice Baby (Under Pressure), Mission Impossible, etc.

And did you notice I copied your approach and did one of those typical Kirk 'bending while picking' licks to open the solo with ??

Ok gentlemen, here's some feedback !

WeePee - perhaps one of your best ever solos ! I love it... nothing to add, it's perfect !

Gitarrero - Nice use of the solo from 'One' and 'that other riff' ! Only thing I would improve over this is your tone.. it could do with a little more power and juice !! It sounds very dry during the tapping part, so that's the only thing !

DeGroot - very tasty solo sir ! Again, not much to criticise or add.. some of those hammer on/trill licks could be a bit tighter but that's all.. a very well paced and enjoyable solo !

Brilliant stuff guys.. I was well impressed !! Perhaps we should send it to Mr Hammett and say 'Look what your licks made us do !'
