Hey Chris!

I think this take is a good one, as I told you in your mentoring thread as well. It has very slight moments in which the pitches are not so exact, but overall it's a good take - good timing and control!

I know I said I would grade 9, but I thought a bit about it and I will grade 8 Why? Because I want to motivate you to push even more - you are a very talented and smart young man and it would be a shame not to give your whole 120% on what you do. You have to promise me you will work on it until it sounds as close to perfection as possible

Hi Chris!

As Cosmin said, you are on the right track with this exercise. Your rhythm is going with the backing's groove and your bending/vibrato technique is getting tighter and tighter from take to take. I note that your hands still need training to feel more comfortable with the movement, and to get always the correct pitches, but this will come with time, you are doing everything right, just need the natural time that we need to master this technique.

I think that it would be good to start working on other musical lessons that use a lot of vibrato to start experimenting with this technique in more musical situations. That's the next step!

Hey Chris, this is good to see ! It's sounding a lot smoother now.. the hard and wide vibrato suits your tone SO well !

I can hear that you've worked on getting the pitch as precise as possible. The first 2 notes of the slow lines are usually your strongest and the semitone and last whole tone are the ones that can slightly go either way. The semitone is much better than before but I'd still advise that you could perhaps inch it back a little bit as it's still right on the border of being bent too sharp. Interestingly, you still manage the semitone perfectly at higher speeds, it's just the slow reps where you tend to bend it out so it's walking the line.

When you hit the B string this is sounding much more natural now. I haven't got much to criticise here so just keep going on with this and it will become even more second nature soon. This is great progress, you'll be out-vibrato-ing me, Marty Friedman and Zakk Wylde in no time
