This song came on the radio recently, it got me thinking and inspired me to make some changes in my life. The more I listen to it the deeper the meaning gets.

https://youtu.be/fbYkYKQdL7I

If you've heard all they got to say
You looked but turned away
Just walk away, walk away
If you've said all you got to say
Now the words just slip away
Just walk away, walk away, walk away
That's what they say, hey what they say,
what they say
You gotta walk away

If you've played all the games they play
You played them yesterday
Just walkaway, walkaway
If you've been, where they wanna go
Seen all they got to show
Just walk away, walk away, walk away
That's what they say, yeah what they say,
what they say
You gotta walk away

And now you must believe me
You never lose your dreams
And now you must believe me
We never lose our dreams

If you've proved all there is to prove
Got nothing left to lose
Walk away, walk away
If you've done, all there is to do
There ain't nothing left for you
Just walk away, walk away, walk away
That's what they say, what they say,
what they say
Walk away, walk away, walk away
That's what they say, what they say,
what they say
You gotta walk away
TODAY

Songwriters: Glen Joseph Power / Benjamin Allan Sargeant / Mark Anthony Sheehan / Daniel John O'donoghue

Success is not obtained overnight. It comes in instalments; you get a little bit today, a little bit tomorrow until the whole package is given out. The day you procrastinate, you lose that day's success.

Thanks buddy,

It's just mainly one very long term relationship I've finally taken a step out from, not a complete disconnection but just not investing any effort any more. It's taken 55 years to finally say "There's no point any more". I still converse with them when I have to and I still bid them a good morning and goodbye, but that's about it.

Did you like the song/lyrics?

I hear ya. Sometimes you gotta just walk away. I did like the lyrics of that song. Fell sorta bob dylan in a way. Not to be glib, but when I first read the words a big hair classic came to mind.

Had you heard of Cast? They're from Liverpool, John Power the singer lived in the area of the song Penny Lane, he was bass player for The La's (There She Goes), Cast were at the forefront of the Britpop movement and Noel Gallagher likened watching them live to "a religious experience".

I had never heard of them before you shared the vid but they sure do have some catch stuff! Does remind me vaguely of the beatles and other classic Brit pop. thanks for the share!

And it speaks volumes that the person in question hasn't even noticed rolleyes.gif

On another note, I had a shock when I saw this video. I know time takes it's toll but this did make me feel a little sad.

And this was just four years earlier.

And an interesting interview.
