I started this tread because I think in every country there are good bands/artists who are not very well known in other countries although they are incredibly good! Let's use YouTube as a platform to show everybody our favourite local acts, those who are only popular in your country but deserve more attention.

here some bands from germany:
Neaera - Let the Tempest Come
Great Metalcore/Deathcore Band
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zR1KgoiEm-g

Heaven Shall Burn - The Weapon They Fear
Another Metalcore/deathcore Band
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AfiN2RmZcU

In Extremo - Erdbeermund
Medieval-Rock, Bagpipes and Heavy Riffs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BW0jYUL-jE

Die Apokalyptischen Reiter - Friede Sei Mit Dir
They don't fit in any Genre^^
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9wci8aCCM0

Edguy - Lavatory Love Machine
Power Metal and hilarious guys
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SYjvmYkbPA

Tankard - Empty Tankard
Beer-Thrash-Metal from my Hometown
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TGnaF_WUa8

Beatsteaks - Hello Joe
Punk-Rock, very popular arround here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfQoVWugIiA

Well I can't talk for everyone around my area but there are a bunch of people I know who know who they are and listen to them.

Should have been more specific.

Didn't realize you mentioned Heaven Shall Burn. They are awesome, I love the song Counterweight.

You didn't post a URL. I think that is a code to embed a video on a site like Myspace or something.

EDIT: Ok, too late you fixed it.

Canada has so many great bands like Rush, the Guess Who, April Wine, Neil Young but here are a few bands some may not be that familiar with but probably should be smile.gif

The Tragically Hip - Canadian Icons been around since the 80's. Best live shows I've ever seen. Great rock band and this is one of my fave songs. ( Also check out Little Bones, Blow at High Dough and basically anything by these guys cause they are awesome)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpr-m9D79gE...feature=related

54 40 - Another band that's been around since the 80's. Great rock band as well.( very old video but one of my fave songs by them.)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7Sl2V3ynrY...feature=related

Blue Rodeo - Don't really know how to class these guys. They are kinda rock/country/bluesy I guess but great stuff aswell. Amazing song writing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crfpN3n8lR0

Sloan - Great rock band from my hometown of Halifax, NS. They opened for the Rolling Stones when they played there last year. Amazing show.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEpSecRuhmc

Our Lady Peace - Pretty big in the 90's not sure how well known outside Canada or USA.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3V5HZNr6saE

Bif Naked - I just thinks she's awesome smile.gif
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdpJh_zc6k8

I probably could just keep going but GMC might not have room smile.gif A few others to check out in the rock genre are The Arcade Fire, Billy Talent, Theory of a Deadman. Depending on what type of music you like I could recommend tons of others.
