I agree with the fact that mats is a monster guitarist, when i saw your video man, i directly picked my guitar and learned it, what i like about it, isn't the fact that it's difficult to do, i've seen more difficult stuff (specially fast runs on muris lessons are really difficult to do), but i love your out notes, i don't know how did you do to have such a good feeling, i don't know wich scale do you use, how do you think, so that's why i'm still trying to work on your lesson, trying to figure out how did you compose those licks, so i can incorporate your style in my own playing. I may ask you some question though, but i want to work on my own first, try to figure out how do you mix arpegios.
Can't wait for your next lesson dude...
good work

Welcome Mats.

After watching this video I just realised, is it possible to get a sithar effect out of a guitar?
http://youtube.com/watch?v=FTnWiW8aybs

You seem to use various exotic instruments such as tablas and sithars. My grandfather was friends with Sitharist Virtuso Ravi Shankar in India. Dont know if you know him.

Also found these:

Look forward to your lessons.

sure there are the coral sitar(electric guitar but simultating the sitar)
or the electric guitar from" line 6" that simulates loads of sounds!

ravi shankar is the best no1! of course i know him, im not really a sitarist
although i really like the sound and feel of a real sitar!
i bought mine in Agra in the north of india some 10 years ago
i have used it on a few trax on my nu cd that will be out in 2008
featuring XZappa drumma whiz kid swede:morgan Agren, metal singer Björn Jansson(tears of anger)
and other incredible musicians!
i like to blues a little bit on the sitar, thats all ,hope you like it!
best regards Mats.

QUOTE ("Steve Vai")
Start by playing something - a bend, a riff, a scale, a song - very slowly; if you make a mistake, start over; do this over and over, until you can play it flawlessly - and I do mean flawlessly - many times in a row. Next, gradually increase the tempo. Eventually you'll be flailing like a madman.
