GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ I Graduated From College
Posted by: thefireball May 23 2011, 01:30 PM
Hello GMC
Last night I graduated from http://www.trcc.edu/home.php with an Associate of Applied Science in Information Systems Technology Microcomputers. That's a mouth full, but that's the full details.
It was a wonderful experience for me. I'm glad I walked. Here are some pictures. The first picture is of me and my family. The second was taken after I received my diploma and was about to shake the hand of former governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee. Two sets of grandparents got to come and see me.
I plan on getting a full-time job in computers for right now. I need a break from school if I'm going to go back to further my education.
I posted a thread with my playing in my cap and gown. http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=39518

I'm into the software side; however, I found out I like the hardware side better. Since I need a break from school, I'm hoping I can just land a job doing hardware for right now. Although, I might end up working my way to the top. I sent my resume to a company near me that does computer repair. If I get lucky, I might be offered an on-the-job training position. Who knows?

Congrats on the graduation..great achievement!
You should have brought along you guitar and asked Huckabee to jam with you. I have seen him play bass on some TV shows.. I think he was playing some Boston tunes which surprised me. He can play
Cheers~

Mucho congrats! Well done! It's not an easy thing to get your sheep skin! I"ve got a bit of a collection of them and I"ve never regretted getting any of them. Education is always a good idea

This site is educational on so many levels. I never knew diplomas were originally made of sheep skin.
Something new I learned today!
