I like a mixture...I like rhythm with splashes of lead licks in them. Hard to describe.

I like to do a lot of rhythm, especially stuff like gabriels open chords rock rhythm. I can really get into the groove of that kind of thing. But I'm also decent at blues soloing I think, though improvisation is something that still needs work.

I really like to play rythm stuff from Blind Guardian...With alot of powerchords and lots of muted tremelo picking

Yeah, Gojira are really awesome.
I think Lamb of God's rythm guitar are a little more "lead" than Gojira's though.

I like playing both rythm and lead, but I know a lot more songs by lamb of god and gojira than other bands because their riffs are just so "soloish", and they usually don't have any shred soloes that I can't play. Some bands have easy riffs and extremely hard soloes, so I can't play either of them (won't play the riffs because they are too easy tongue.gif and cant play the soloes because they are too hard... laugh.gif

Love playing lead in my own songs though, and in songs that have soloes I can manage to play

Of course I'm better at rythm than lead. I think the average lead guitarist play waay more rythm riffs than soloes (unless they are just standing there while someone else is playing the riffs in the rest of the song tongue.gif )

I try to be a lead-guy but my rythm is just way better than my soloing even though I spend most of my practicing time for soloing.
