I wanted to know how long does everyone wait to start playing after you take a shower?

I usually wait about 30 minutes, but sometimes it rips up my calluses...

whats a general rule for waiting?

I voted 60 minutes, sometimes more. 60 minutes is pretty much a minimum though. Might be too much, but I'm just being cautious tongue.gif

I voted "more" because it can take a week before I take guitar. Long ago I almost played in the shower.

I noticed that I can't play any fast stuff right after I wash my hands. I need to wait 10 minutes before they dry properly and the skin gets back to normal.

Defnitely waiting a bit, but when I think about it, I never actually take the guitar after I shower, I usually practice at other times of day.

Haha, this is so wierd... I was thinking about this very thing yesterday: "I wonder how long I should wait before I play..."

I voted 45 minutes, since that's around how long it takes from I get out of the shower and I get around to start playing. My hands are pretty much back to normal by then.. Even though it can easily be longer.

I wash my hands around 20 times per day. I guess it's some sort of "tick", don't know. I can not stand cream on my hands ether. I go crazy when the fingers between each other glue. It doesn't really have an effect on my calluses though, depends what i practice on of course.

I remember that. laugh.gif

Funny,I feel most ready to play after I wash my hands or after shower,
probably due this sweating issue. dry.gif

What a funny topic. biggrin.gif I´ve always have this problem after taking a shower, for years I thought I was the only one with this problem. When I get home from work I often have an urge to play after being thinking about it all day, but if I take a shower first then I loose interest in playing after the the shower. But when I pick up the guitar after 30 minutes or so, then usually the motivation comes back. smile.gif

After shower I need about 30 minutes. And I wash my hands too thousands of times a day...

I usually always wash hands before playing guitar and I don't wait after that. But I sweat a lot on my hands. A LOT. dry.gif mellow.gif

I've only once went straight from just-out-of-bath-and-dressed to play guitar and I did'nt think of it .. when I saw most my fingertips were shredded off after a few minutes I kinda took notice of that..
