So I've been looking for awhile for the right used guitar for a a steal. I've been looking out for something with a longer scale and emg's. In the classifieds there is a few schecters wich I've heard good things about, and I will play and inspect it before I buy it of course. One add stuck out to me, for a great condition schecter hellraiser special with floyd rose. Selling for 350 us, talked him down to 300. Im a little hesitant cause it does have a floyd rose wich I don't really like, I'm wondering if using low tuning heavy strings is just a pain with a floyd rose? I know it'll need a set up and adjustments to the springs in the trem system, wich I can do myself. But I don't use tremolos ever even my fenders are set up with the trem against the body. Should I hold out for a guitar without it? Cause they do pop up often, or is a floyd rose easy to deal with using drop tuning?
