Metal Recommendations (closed) Options

[The Uncreator]

To all who read this, especially newer GMC members who weren't here at the birth of this thing, what follows is a list of Metal bands categorized by genre, as of now, it is still incomplete, but as you can see, the Progressive section and my personal recommendations have been updated so that when you click on the band name, you will be directed to there home page or myspace. When finished, ALL bands will have this for there names on the list, unless a link or web page cannot be found for them, and the genres will be further diversified. (Example, Death Metal will be separated into Melodic Death/ Technical Death/ Prog Death ect. ect. )

So bear with me, because separating this list is a very tiresome task, i love metal with all my heart, but i have not heard all these bands, so i must "Investigate" if you will these bands to see where they will fit. Of course, this list would not be possible without the many contributions made my our very own GMC members, too many to name here, but you know who you are!

---Probably the biggest archive of metal bands on the net. They have band descriptions, discographies, lyrics, album covers and links to official sites, myspace and fansites of each band.
-Metal Storm
---A lot Smaller than metal-archives but has news and interviews. Specializes in underground stuff.
-Metal Rules
---This is more of a commercial site. They deal in more well known acts than the two previous sites. They also have news and reviews.
