They might be trying to sound evil. But it doesn't work for me.

This fits my mood more right now:

Listening with my "good" ear - and I have no problem capturing the aggressiveness and intensity in this. I guess this just confirms once again that the charm of music lies in individuality/personal preferences. Wouldn't it be pretty cool to, let's say, add an opera voice on top of this crazy arrangement..?

Now the actual "video" content is a different story biggrin.gif

I think it would be alright if they hadn't put white noise over the song.

It's not something i would listen too, but it's not "that" bad smile.gif There's alot of people who really gets into and understands this music.

It's practically like listening to a more industrialized version of Ulver - Nattens Madrigal.

Brutal composition indeed. I believe there are people who can actually listen to this, but I'm not one of them. I do not dislike it but I do not like it either. This kind of music just doesn't bring any emotions in me, so I guess it's not for me..

Well, if they didn't peak the mix throughout the whole song and/or put extra noise on it,
it might actually have sounded like... well... music smile.gif

But that song mixed/mastered like it is was just dreadful to my ears..
But I can see that there's a market for it smile.gif

So I'm going to be the "weirdo" that actually likes A.N. tongue.gif
They're not exactly easy listening, even if you are a fan of extreme metal and it took me a while to lower the raised eyebrow I had when I first heard them. Even now, I could only take it in small doses because their material is so misanthropic.. if you are feeling great and love the world and want to do something to change the way you feel, then Anaal will definitely dampen that joy.
That said - I wasn't too impressed with the example posted; the production was a bit too much at the high-end for my liking.
this is a better choice:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30Mvn13um4I

..some riff variety, progression, not entirely blast-beated and some lead guitar and clean vocals too! The riff at 3:36 is pretty noice too
