Here is my review of the PEAK midi foot controller, model FCP4X..
It feature *Full LCD readout ( so you can see what patch you are on) *Programmable LED light color on the foot switches *Full Metal construction *Plug and play operation.
I have been looking for something to replace my FCB1010 ever since it started feeling a bit plastic and I started to really dislike the cheapy wah mechanism. Also, I had to buy special eprom to make my FCB1010 work with my 11 rack. This one just worked out of the box. It doesn't have wah/volume pedals so I'm going to use my soul press as a controller or volume or wah, depending. The soul press has a 3 way switch which is handy. Anyhoo, here is the review! The units cost about $245 which is about what it ran me for the behringer with the eprom.

I really dig this controller and my BEHRINGER is officially on the back burner I don't miss the "plastic" "cheap" feeling of the Behringer at all. Also the full LCD readout makes me wish I'd heard about these long ago and skipped the "B" word entirely. I bought the FCB1010 for one reason. Price. I'm keeping the peak for one reason. Quality. Live and learn eh?

I learned how to program the LED display on my PEAK MIDI controller and how to assign different colors to the LED lights above each foot switch. My next project is to power it using midi only (7 to 5 pin powered cable) so I don't need to run midi and power cable to it. Just midi

The guy who builds these pedals is really cool. It's his own company come to find out, and it's pretty much just him! He builds each pedalboard himself!! He recently featured the vids I made on his web site which was very nice of him
