Good advice! I like how he is matching the metronome and keeping a good mute. Basic technique goes a long way.

That's a great video, the main thing with chunking is to check out the correct fingering before splitting into chunks, if you practise a chunk with the incorrect finding, particularly the first note, you'll have to unlearn it as the transition will be messy.

I like the point of adding the 1st note of the next chunk, if you don't I find you relax after a chunk and aren't prepared for more.

When I do chunking, I get the first chunk down, then add the first note of the next chunk until comfortable, THEN, when I'm learning the next chunk, I'll add in the last note or two from the previous chunk. I find this helps with better transitions.
I haven't watched all of the video yet so he may have covered that -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight. Main trick in chunking is generally to start from doing everything exactly the same every single time of repetition. Fingering, picking direction etc. It really need to load into muscle memory. Later you\ll think of it as a single note Thanks, yeah, I usually work fingering out first especially if there's a position change, and I always overlap the chunks by a couple of notes. -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight.
