Sweep Picking?

You should always be aware of what you´re playing so that you have a general view on your skills. Just start with sweeping, every new technique is useful! The action is a little high compared to other guitars that I have tried, and this makes my attempts at sweeping quite difficult compared to other guitars. my question is: should I wait, and would it be worth it to wait until I get a better guitar before I start seriously practicing sweeping? I find it easier to sweep on a guitar with lower action, though I've been known to sweep on my guitar that I use for slide - which for obvious reasons has a very high action. If you practice both techniques you'll get equally proeficient with both of them. You should just practice all the techniques you want to develop - regularly. Then you will be able to choose an appropriate technique for the part you want to play, if you practice enough you will be able to make decisions automatically without thinking about them.
