Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Beginner's Corner 21: String Bending by Bear Rose

This lesson is so helpful for bendings, I think i will practice more and make a second take. Waiting for your comments!

Hey again Renan! smile.gif It would be great if you would attempt this take once more and pay attention to the pitches of the notes when bending smile.gif One way to compare the accuracy of your bends with the original, would be to record against the original and notice which are the bends that need more practice to be in perfect sync smile.gif

Let's see the new take, deal?

Hi mate! I have to agree! This lesson is so useful for practising bending and that's why I always recommend to learn it!
I think that you are on the right path with this technique but you still need to practice to get the correct pitch for each bend. The best way to practice this one at first is over the instructor, to check if you are reaching the same pitch.
Keep on the good job!

Hi there Renan! smile.gif Yeah...You still need to work on those bends...anyway...Your guitar seems to be a little out of the tune...this can destroy your reference pitch for the bend. Try to tune You guitar on the tuner somewhere between 4 and 5 fret. Some tuners have to high tolerance like (5-7 cents is ok means "green light") so You can't trust them much especially on the open strings. Press the string on the fret with the same pressure that You will use while playing. This could help You cause bending is sort of ear + string tension remembering issue. What You hear is #1 but it's also a bit of fingers remembering the tension on correct pitch...like when You do the very fast bends. Any way one of Your bends were better and one of them worse. This is not a fail attempt but still much work to be done smile.gif Good luck with the practise smile.gif
