Sleepy Hollow
A cemetery lost
With those buried within
The Headless Horsemen gallops
Not knowing where he’s been
A gate creeks open
A schoolmaster walks in
Weary of his surroundings
Let the haunting, begin
Pass under the tree
Katrina be my guide
Let the fog roll in
Let me take my bride
But as I leave this place
On that chilly autumn night
I can hear the trees whisper
I can feel the wind bite
A shadow in the distance
A coyote or a bear?
A Hessian armed for battle
Hatchet in the air
The moon reflects upon him
And no head is to be found
His horse trots and neighs
But I can not hear a sound
The next day I’d gone missing
The whole town felt the blow
And no one knew where I had gone
But Van Brant just seemed to know

Well, after listening to Iced Earth's Horror Show album for hours and hours on end I was inspired to write my own lyric based on a story. This is a song about Sleepy Hollow (hence the title
) It's been a while since I read it though, so I went by what I remembered, altough I think that's good so it's not too direct from the book
Enjoy!
