Was looking for some info about Rig Player in TH-U on YT and came across this, I've posted it only because I think that's some very tasty playing there.

Some very tasty playing and not to mention the closest thing to a KEMPER one can get without spending WADS of cash smile.gif A kemper is essentially a computer running a version of hardware linux and the kemper software app. A separate app does profiling. I'm thrilled to see it finally got a software editor!!!! This functionality is available to a degree now in OVERLOUD THU (I hate to sound like an advert after all they are NOT paying me!) but I LOVE this new feature. To be able to just drop in a whole new rig is quite handy. It's simple, easy and efficient.

One of the problems that folks had with OVERLOUD is that it's frankly far too complex, especially for folks that are new to this kind of thing. Building a patch from scratch can be too much to handle and even understanding how to tweak an existing patch can be a pain at first. With this new feature, you just trust your ears when they say "that's a cool tone" and bam, it comes in one piece. I've been a huge fan of overloud ever since I switched over from guitar pro and I now love it more than ever smile.gif I'm glad you joined me!!!!
Also a VERY COOL TRICK AT THE END OF THE VID!!!! Being able to load your own custom IR on to any of the Pre made one piece KEMPER style amps is killer. Yet another reason I love overloud. So darn flexible!!!

To be honest, I can't say I've found it complex, not the ui anyway. It can be complex but only as complex as trying to mix and match a pedal board with an amp is in real life. Some of the real effects are complicated but the actual ones would be in real life too.

Personally I prefer the ui to the Helix ui and I haven't switched my Helix on since I got this. I wouldn't advise people to rush to get it though, not until they've made sure their computer is up to it.

Cheers
