Jamest -- Mark Knopfler Style, Lesson by Muris Varajic |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Warmoth Custom Strat with Lyndy Fralin Vintage Hot's, middle pickup.
Pod X3 Live Sonar For this recording, I sent the guitar only signal (no amp or effects) to the DAW and used Pod Farm for the amp models. I went with a Marshall JCM800 model in the left side and a Mesa Diamond Plate on the right. Drive/gain was set to about 7 on both amp models with tone controls different on each side. This is a first for me with re-amping. It gives lots of flexibility with the tone thats for sure ... and if I pass this lesson, I will now officially be a "Tone Seeker" so what better time to start experimenting to get the best tone possible. I also tried to get better lighting so I went out and got a cheap $5 halogen worklamp (kind of like the one that almost burned Emir's house down ). I hope you like this take. Thanks again for the great lesson Muris. Link to the Lesson This post has been edited by skennington: Oct 11 2009, 03:26 PM |
