TBH I have never considered them Metal really, more Hard Rock. Something about them that I am just being nit-picky about. I couldn't get into them but from what I have heard there live shows are good, my sister met them a few years back. Also, I dont know why Decibel, Metal Hammer, or some other magazine had Dan Donegan as "best shredder"....I mean, come on

Although I will say, In general I dont really like the singer, but he does the arabic/ middle eastern intro in one of there songs that is pretty awesome.

Ive gotten out of these kind of bands in favor for more melodic stuff with (get ready for this) lead playing in there tunes.
I been a big fan of the stuff coming out of Sweden lately. Not to mention Opeth

Check out Sanctity though if your not a fan of metal these guys might not be your cup of tea.

Well, I liked the latest Disturbed album, but I was really wondering why they are considered to be metal. I'd also say they are hard rock, but I still like them.

Not really a fan of Disturbed at all.. and dont consider it metal in the slightest, but the Land of Confusion cover is awesome

Love this band. Agree with everyone else, they are more hard-rock but some of their songs I would put vverrryy close to metal. My only problem with disturbed is that they always have great intro's and bridges and usually a pretty good chorus but they just ruin their songs with a bad verse or chorus, they have very few songs that hold me in for the whole time. One of my favourites is this

I love that band too except I too do not consider them metal either. I agree with the hard rock.

I really love their albums, they have some killer songs and Dramians voice is exaclty the type of voice that I love, rough but still melodic, and I love his psycho screams I have only seen them live once, but that was rather disappointing I have to say, not very powerful, but maybe they just had a bad day.

I really like Disturbed's sound along all their records. It has something special on it, really clean a powerful. Great band

I like the singers voice in "Land of Confusion", it is very similar to Phil's. Cool version.
