Agree with both Chris and Nemanja.
What I would add is that some topics would catch my eye very quickly as a moderator: anything to do with illegal activities, anything that promotes sexism/racism/homophobia and intolerance generally. Having said that I don't immediately move to censor either the topic or the contributors - it depends on the discussion. Discussion about religion/war/politics I have no issue with provided they're civil and don't just turn in to a flame war. Only thing people may want to think about is whether they're appropriate on a guitar/music orientated site even if they're in Off-Topic. Age limits - errr - I can't see how that would work as a mod. Would I be expected to delete responses from people just based on their age? Very difficult to police and not a form of censorship I would like as it, for me, sounds rather Victorian. Further it may assume that a person's biological age reflects their maturity - something that I don't agree with. I know a lot of immature adults and equally a lot of mature youths. As a moderator one of the major things that remains uppermost in my mind is that GMC as a community has members from a very wide age group and so threads, discussion and member behaviour need to be appropriate with that. If you look at the posting guidelines you can see that many reflect this. Cheers, Tony -------------------- Get your music professionally mastered by anl AES registered Mastering Engineer. I agree with our moderators, anything can be a good subject as long as we have a good healthy discussion over it, excluding of course some topics that are not suitable for forums and discussions in general. Afterall this forum works mainly with topics related to guitar and music material and it works pretty well. Didn't ever saw the need to discuss in-depth about politics or religion here anyway
