Hi Emir,

I am a big fan of your playing, and wondered since everybody else was doing "In The Style Of" lessons and lessons of songs, I wondered if you could do one that would really help me, and I am sure every other guitarist on GMC. It would be awesome if you could do a lesson on the solo "Beat The Bullet" by Danger Danger, I am a big fan of Andy Timmons and thought with your ability and technique could do it justice. The techniques and melody displayed in the solo, I am 100% sure that everybody can draw something from it. I really hope you can find the time to fit it in...

Many Thanks,
Iain!

Hey Guys,

I have a Squier strat, that just wasnt getting used anymore. I have recently decided that I want to modify it, make it a better guitar, and here is what I want to do:

1. Change colour from creamy white to Candy Apple Red
2. Apply new scratchplate that I have already bought, its a silver one with black tortoise shell mmmm!!
3. Put on a new maple neck!

My problem is I only know how to do the neck and scratchplate, what do I do about the paint? I want to do it myself but don't know how to go about it, also I want to put a Floyd Rose onto it, how do I go about doing this?

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Many Thanks,
Iain!!

Hi Marcus,

I am a firm believer in challenging yourself and i find it helps you improve. There is a certain song by a certain neoclassical god that NOBODY can play but aforementioned god. I have scoured Youtube and other video/guitar sites and there isnt a person who can play it. I would like to see a video of you having a go at playing it, as to not only get a better understanding of how to play it but also to inspire smile.gif

The solo part is from Vengeance by none other than Yngwie Malmsteen.......think you can handle it?

All the best,
Iain!!

Ok, so I recently asked for people's help on creating an instrumental song for my girlfriend.......and after some helpful posts I decided to sit down and work on a melody or a small phrase and just record it. I recorded a few short lines and wondered if this was what everyone meant, any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated!! And apologies for the sound, my Pod XT is in the rehearsal room and Im at home so I am using a Line 6 Floor Pod and its not too great sad.gif

Part of me thinks it might be too sad to be an instrumental for my girlfriend, but part of me says I could start sad and that could be the part of my life without her, then I could change the tempo and the feel of the song into a happy, uptempo number and that could be when I met her?!? I suck with instrumentals lol......Anyway, hope you enjoy and can help me out,
Iain!
