Hey guys!
Mr. Todd Simpson introduced me to the 11 rack and I ended up buying one brand new with the expansion pack and without Pro Tools for $320. A great deal, and I love it! However, I am trying to invest in something to beef up the sound, make it a little more natural - and so far I have read about two recommendations: 1.) Running a Torpedo Cab into the fx loop: http://www.amazon.com/Two-Notes-Torpedo-Sp...r/dp/B00B1RJ142 2.) Using ReCabinet or some other VST (I can get ReCabinent 3 for about $50) From what I have read, the Torpedo Cab does a great job bringing some extra life to the 11 Rack but it also comes with a $550 price tag. The problem with using a VST is that in order to use it, I would have to be hooked up to my computer - I couldn't just use it standalone with the 11 Rack. Also, I'm not sure if it is possible to run the amp simulation in real time in my DAW - the only way I know how to do it would be to record something and then listen to the playback - I'm not sure how to do it in real time, if that makes any sense. Do you guys have any opinions on this, or know of something else? Thanks! |

Glad you are digging your 11! You got a great deal on it!
The good news is that you can do what you are wanting to do, (I believe) just using the 11R EDITOR. So, have you downloaded the 11R editor yet and started using it? Each of the Guitar Cabinets has a very realistic IR built in One "Secret Sauce" trick!! Try using the 8x10 Bass cabinet with your guitar setups!! IT makes the rig sound HUGE!!! Here is an example! https://soundcloud.com/techniqueswithtodd/11-rack-brutal-pack-preview Hey guys!
