Here is a custom GUITAR RIG 4 patch with wads of gain. It's what I used on this track.

ooh, nice Thanks That dissonant fill in the middle is much easier to play than you might think and comes off nicely Hope you can make to our Saturday Jam! We are gonna do this lick first before going THUMBLESS! ------- Here is a custom GUITAR RIG 4 patch with wads of gain. It's what I used on this track. Cool riff It's not djent though. I added a dissonant"ish" harmony to give it more Djentyness! Whaddya think Djentier.mp3 ( 856.04K ) Number of downloads: 115 This post has been edited by Todd Simpson: Oct 15 2011, 02:03 AM |

More Djenty for sure. But so much of Djent is low tuned extended range guitars. Drop Ab, A Standard, Drop G, Drop F#, F# Standard are all tunings I've seen used for those big fat poppy riffs. Very true! This lick would work well detuned and it sounds good on my 7 string at low B as well. For the purposes of our Saturday Jam, I try to keep close to standard tunings just to save on time. I've tried alternate tunings and it really slowed things down. But yeah, once you get this lick, tuning it down sounds killer. The open Diatonic sounds better too Djentier.mp3 ( 856.04K ) Number of downloads: 115 |

COMPARISON QUESTION
I put some special sauce (Free plugins from my Free Software Thread) and another guitar layer on this track but I wanted to know if the first one sounds better to anyone, without the second guitar?
