Very cool doc! Thanks for sharing You gotta love Tampa Florida. One of the most boring places on earth, and it spawned an entire GENRE of music that is still evolving today.
Todd Great Death Metal documentary about Florida's scene , great DVD quality!!! IT'S BEGUN!!!! THE BLACK MASS IS SPREADING!!!! Ben and I are to blame!!!! spent the entire weekend immersed in norwegian black metal just went and bought the 20th anniversary edition of Darkthrones ' a blaze in the northern sky'. not really my type of music but there's something about it that really fascinates me. It honestly took me a bit of time to get past the initial overall sound but the atmosphere and chords etc are really cool. Im looking at getting the book - Lords of chaos anyone read it, or similar books? BEN!!!! You got the WRONG ONE!! Try Transylvanian Hunger from Darkthrone You can preview/download some tracks online. Todd I've got it.. it's very extensive and well detailed. Also quite depressing in many places but worth a read. :
I remember when I bought a Darkthrone album, 'Under a Funeral Moon'.. I knew they were supposed to be really Lo-Fi but I wasn't too impressed and never listened to it more than a couple of times. This post has been edited by Todd Simpson: Nov 21 2012, 01:54 AM |
