I don't notice any change in either of my tube amps but I've heard something about that it takes the tubes like 30 minutes or so to reach their peak.

Yeah, MickeM is right, tubes need 10-30 minutes to reach working temperatures, depending of the amp. Possibly your amp is reaching a working temperature within 15 mins, so you hear slightly smoother sound because of this.

On my TSL601 on low volume there isn't much difference, but when cranked the sound is a bit more smoother as the tubes warm up.

I guess it depends from amp to amp how much the difference is audible...There is standard 15 min warm up time for tube amps when they reach optimum working performance.
