Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate! I commented this lesson at Gab's Army thread. You have to adjust your timing, so keep on practicing at this tempo, or maybe slower and isolate the faster licks to practice over metronome. The REC grading only works for the normal tempo takes so I think that we can't grade this one. Keep on working! smile.gif

Hey mate! Timing and vibrato are the things which you need to improve here - timing will get better and better and groove will appear as well, if you give yourself enough time with a slower tempo. I noticed you were frenetically thumping your left foot smile.gif Why not try to tap it to quarter notes instead? It's a great addition to the rhythmical system in your body and it will help TONS! The vibrato needs to be wider as well!

Keep on rocking!

Cosmin

I agree with my comrades here. Great advice too from Cosmin about your foot. That's way too much energy to be using up, so tapping just the quarter notes 1,2,3,4 will do the job smile.gif

Hi Fran! This lesson is played using a slower backing, so I think that it can't be graded... am I right?

You did well! Need to work on your timing and vibrato!
I would suggest practicing with a metronome at a slow tempo! Just make sure you have a full control over your hands and this way you can improve much faster!

That's right Gabe, lessons should be recorded with the original leson backing speed.
Closing the thread now wink.gif
