Not meant to offend anyone, BUT I HATE VISTA!!!
I mean, sure, there's improvements in graphics, but then, well, that's pretty much about it. Everything in Vista is harder to operate, it's heavier than XP, and sometimes the windows explorer crashes for no reason.. ;}

Example: One day my internet was down, and what did windows do? It gave me and error code and said "put this code into our website to see what's wrong" -.-

You can make behave exactly as XP, its just a matter of settings..... I dont think Vista is bad, Im running SP2 and never had any big issues.. But in true Microsoft tradition, an OS is never stable until the second servicepack.

I didn't really experience any of the vista problems for the 12-14 months that I used it. I've got win7 here now and it's also not that much different either. My understanding was that 7 is simply vista renamed and carrying a few updates to its UI.

Despite the similarity, focus groups insisted that they found windows 7 to solve all the "vista problems" that they claimed to have.

Neither seem any better or worse than any other OS. I suppose there are a few new conveniences, and I guess people must be experiencing problems with them as well.

I haven't had any bad experiences yet.

Way too old topic... but have to say i love Vista compared to xp

Sure things are in different places but thats no problem if you take some time to get used to it, i now like how things are located..
64bit incompatebility when vista was new wasnt vistas fault but that of driver makers + you didnt have to get the 64bits vista either.

only thing wrong with vista is how much power of your computer it takes, i heared windows 7 is much better on that, id love to try it sometime smile.gif

An example why i love vista far more then xp is about its stability (wich it does have! dont know why people complain about that)
in xp, games would crash so bad that only thing to do was using the hard power-off button, wich offcourse isnt very nice for your pc.
in Vista (IF games crash, wich seems to be far more rare to me) ctrl-alt-delete Always works so you can do a friendly game-close or restart.
