Yea but bass a "bass guitar" and pretty similiar, just tuned loower. You can apply most of the guitar lessons and theory to bass. And a guitarist can sing and play at the same time, so singing lessons are understandable. But drums I don't know, they aren't related at all to guitar, guitar is melody, drums are rhythm.

I don't know much about drums but I would say the standard theory they have too know mainly consists of time signatures, note values, etc, but don't quote me because like I said I have absolutely no idea on drums, just guessing.

ah, didn't know how often it was asked for. Hope its not more often than when people ask for an alternate picking lesson.

Well, I was thinking maybe getting into drums could help my rhythm when playing rhythm guitar.......but I suppose playing rhythm guitar.......could also help my rhythm guitar playing mellow.gif

I think it would be better a "drum programing" lessons. I love drums, but I may admit that is a bit difficult to have drums in my home tongue.gif (and it's "a bit" expensive!!)

Another + 1 for drum programming lessons, as long as they come with alternate picking. Maybe alternate drumming. tongue.gif

Well, I always program my drums (I don't like drum loops, because for me is more dificult to find a pattern that works good with the song that program this pattern).
I started to play drums 2 years ago and I learnt the basics, but when drums become too much difficult I left it, cos I prefer using my time with guitars.

BTW I can write few words and basic drums patters, but not more than FEW words.

I agree for drum programming.
GMC has always been about guitar and if it starts offering all other instruments, it might not do things as well...
But drum programing would help a lot of guitarists I think!

I don't think a drum programming lesson lends itself well to video! smile.gif

8 Notes has this excellent drum riff generator - check it out:

QUOTE ("Steve Vai")
Start by playing something - a bend, a riff, a scale, a song - very slowly; if you make a mistake, start over; do this over and over, until you can play it flawlessly - and I do mean flawlessly - many times in a row. Next, gradually increase the tempo. Eventually you'll be flailing like a madman.
