Hi Guys had a bit of a brainstorm and think it would be nice if we had a sub forum for instructors and members to tell us about there own music post sound clips videos and such like.I know we have an uploads section but i for one would like to know more about peoples music for example i now Andrew has some kind of band and would like to here more maybe buy an album after all we have real quality and depth on this website and we should blow our own trumpet about it let us know your thoughts.

I'am talking more about promoting Instructors/members music more not so much uploads.Such as cd's maybe gigs i just noticed the other day the amount of people who never heard of some of the great bands and guitarists who have albums out and no one knows about or seems not to know.

Yeah a Self Promotion sub forum could be nice.. it could also replace the uploads sub forum.

I wanted to posted an idea of a sub forum too, but since you allready opend this thread up I won't start a new one, so here's my Idea

A Games/Competitions sub-forum.
I remember there was talk that there will be competitions of solo's/riff's/lick etc. so I thought that those should be fun and the fact they will be run by instructors and might have prizes can only add to it, but how bout starting a sub forum for a member games/competitions? these probably won't have any prizes and will just be for pure fun! plus it will expand the amout and variety of games/competitions!

It can also be split into two sub-sub-forums, one will contain games/competitions which are related to guitar(Best lick, Best cover, best looking guitar, etc) and one will contain non guitar related games/competitions(Best poem, short story, 3 word story game, riddles, etc.)

What do you guys think?

Nice ideas here..I like especially the instrutors/members band promotion bit.

About the Iluhas idea , I heard that story also (about the "headcutting" competition ) smile.gif But I think it can be done very well in the colabs forum.Maybe sub board there..But It would be really hard to separate members into different categories in order for it to be a fair competition wink.gif

Well since the competiton will be for only fun, it's easy enough to state that the competition is only for beginner level, or only for pro level, etc, and than you sign in at you'r own risk =p and I don't think there are people here who will do the shamefull thing of signing up for groups of lower level than theirs!! <3 you guys, but if you'll do that nasty nasty thing I will </3 you! laugh.gif
