This GMC is certainly an excellent place to be. After several years of wasting my spare time playing video games, I have finally decided to become a guitarist. I learned when I was 13 on an old acoustic guitar that tore my fingers to shreds but I could play a few chords. My first song was Frankie and Johnny out of an old Mel Bay guitar teaching book. I was semi-good and wrote a songthat I thought was pretty good and people seemed to like it. I bought a better guitar and then graduated from high school. A few years alter I was married and the guitar thing kind of just went away. I had a nice 12-string acoustic but with work and family I didn't have time. I eventually lost that guitar in a fire. Years later my wife bought me an Esteban guitar from HSN and rekindled my flame but I didn't have the motivation and she bought me two more Esteban guitars. Still no dedication. About a year later I wrote another instrumental piece on my classical guitar. The guitar bug was starting to hit. I had another idea for a song shortly after seeing Big Bad Voodoo Daddy in concert. I needed to buy an electric guitar. Well I decided to get serious and bought Band-in-a-Box, a good microphone, a USB interface for my computer, a better amp, and started to look for guitar tablature and found GMC. I was really inspired by Kristofer and David and started to learn the pentatonic scales. I love David's guitar in his instructing videos and went out and put another guitar on layaway. This place rocks. To hear the music that I recorded visit http://myspace.com/jaywbauer

I took a chance and recorded something for Ivan's blues collaboration. This place is awesome. Can't wait to hear the finished product.
