I have found that you can pretty much tell if you have sped up too quickly because it will just sound noisey instead of clean. In which case I just drop back down a few bpm untill the speed comes naturally
Either way there are so many lessons that can help you here !! http://www2.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-gui...e-speedpicking/ http://www2.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-gui...n-speed-bursts/ http://www2.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-gui...king1/index.htm prepare to loose many many hours ! -------------------- mysql> SELECT * FROM master_name WHERE ((firstname = 'Paul') AND (lastname = 'Gilbert'));

There is no best way really. You have to find it for yourself. I know it sounds corny but it is the truth. Find a system that works best with you and practice as much as you can and the result will come in time.

hey u mentioned slow? how slow? im jst starting to put in some serious time into some speed runs and good stuff like that (dam blues stole me for many years) and iwas wondering what speeds you would recomend starting at 60bpm? thanks Start at whatever speed you can play the iff or run in a relaxed and clean manner - any faster is a waste, don;t pay too much attention to what it says on the metronome as that figure will be moving upwards if you practice right. Playing cleanly and relaxed is the best guide, and then increase speed as you feel comfortable. I start some stuff as low as 20 if I am having trouble with it. -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile
