Alternate Picking, sometimes or always?

Jan 6 2008, 01:50 PM	Learning Roadie Posts: 612 Joined: 14-September 07 From: Zwolle, The Netherlands	ok, I just have found out that I am a hardcore cheater on alternate picking and am actually economy picking all the time...at least if i have understood the topic well. if i got it right, economy picking is same as alternate picking but you "cheat" sometimes for example: you do two downpickings when going to the next string. right? now, I will have to start learning alternate picking for real i guess, butt..... when playing a solo or some lick should i always use alternate picking?? or is economy picking fine sometimes??
