Hey,that sounds pretty good,well done!! smile.gif

About tuning issue,it's more related to how hard you press the string when doing hammer-ons.
I know,it's not that easy cause you have to fret it pretty hard to get the note
but you're doing really great, just keep practicing to be more relaxed.
It'll sound better in short while I'm sure of it. wink.gif

Great take and effort,appreciated!

Btw,have you used any dumpener for this one?

Hi Muris,

Thank you for you comments !! It's really motivating smile.gif ...

I'm sure that this is the problem, i have to be more careful with the pressure of my left hand.
The tuning issue i notice more and more in my playing... i think i slightly bend the strings down quite often as well.

I have used a dumper at the beginning, but it was disturbing me a bit as i thought i only hide my mistakes. I noticed that the most string noise i do when i release the pinky .. i touch each time the next higher string (release the A string i touch the D string). The result was that during this string skipping shape the empty string was making noise. I try to fret now more vertical and i mute a lot with my right hand as well. For this take i didn't used a dumper.

This is why i like this lesson so much ... i notice a lot of stuff where i was a kind of sloppy.

Thanks again ... will keep you updated with a cleaner, faster and more in tune version rolleyes.gif

Don't be afraid to use dumpener for this,
you are doing lots of left hand taps here
and dumpener is made just for techniques like that.

As for the pinky, try to angle it more on string,
curve it as much as possible and release it smoothly, that'll help. smile.gif

Hi Muris,

After your call for progress this afternoon i recorded a new version smile.gif
I still have problems with some sliding notes and the tuning in the last two shapes. I have recorded this one in the speed of 120bpm.

Thank you smells. Too bad ... i would have liked to see a take from you, but i can imagine you are quite busy right now. I really look forward to your lessons smile.gif

Thanks Trond. Yes, the hammer-on notes are sometimes not equal to the picked ones ... still a lot to work on.

That was GREAT Wrk,I'm truly honored, great job so far!! smile.gif

I'd like to give you few suggestions to even improve your playing on this lesson.
First, try using bridge pickup, you have lots of distortion and you'll get more attack with it.
I know that sometime it's hard to control your playing when using bridge pickup
but give it a try,who knows. wink.gif

And one more thing, try using a bit more "wider" movements when doing those hammer-ons.
If you take a look on how I play it,you'll see that I'm almost "slapping" it. laugh.gif
I guess it'd steal you few moments to stay in beat but
it's good way to get those hammer-ons more powerful.

Thumbs up once more!!! smile.gif

Chris,I see you're doing hard work on forum, lessons and everything.
Take your time,we'll be here.
Congrats on your new status tho! smile.gif

Those are good suggestions .. i will try the bridge pickup and maybe change the sound as well.

Now that you say it, i realize especially the index finger could need a wider movement and with the index hammer-ons i have the most problems. This "slapping" i have to try as well ... it looks that you hit hard, but you have not tension on pressing down the strings after .. maybe this will solve the tuning problem as well.

Thank you Muris !!
